This truly sickens me. The Federal Reserve won't tell Congress where the bailout billions that we gave to AIG went.
This sets a precedent...simple really. NO MORE BAILOUTS w/o plans first submitted from companies that name names, accounting line item numbers, and binding legal agreements that are short and totally un-ambiguous.
Otherwise, your company must FAIL.

We are on the threshold of hell here in case you hadn't noticed. You're constant squabbling over where Olbermann went to college is reminiscent of middle school bullying. Cornell is an Ivy League school…no matter what college at Cornell you went to or how much mommy & daddy paid for you to get in and subsequently obtain your diploma.
Leave it alone already and discuss something that actually matters, the wars, the economy, the crimes of the Bush-43 administration…no, of course you don't want to discuss those things because when you do, as with all in the GOP and neocon-nation you FAIL.

Today, a friend posted this commentary from Ann Coulter. I have to agree with Ann just a little bit here…Keith takes it too far making fun of the institutions where persons obtained their higher education.
First...I am not taking sides here in what will invariably become Rush & Coulter vs Olbermann & Maddow. Second, Rush is an entertainer, Keith is a new breed of news show anchor…although I hate calling him a news reporter….Dan Rather is a news reporter…more on this in a bit.
In an answer to Fox News' Hannity (The Manatee is he is affectionately known) MSNBC came up with the Olbermann news-hour concept as an answer to Hannity. What Olbermann does is bring the news and his opinion (which happens to be the majority opinion of the country for the moment) and make you laugh all at the same time.
I do not agree with Olbermann making fun of the college anyone went to; lord knows he would have a great time with me. That said, I disagree with Rush making statements such as that Feminism was established "to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society"...that is a very incendiary (and false) statement, and anyone that stops to think for themselves knows it. Presenting political news, to me, does not mean reading or paraphrasing talking points from your favorite party.
There are things said on Countdown that I do not agree with...but one thing is for sure...Keith Olbermann NEVER disseminates news that isn't quite right, incorrect, not fact checked, or even in certain cases out and out lies...Fox News, well, does. If not directly, they do allow themselves to be a springboard for Republican Congressmen/Congresswomen (Michelle Bachman of MN comes to mind) and/or Senators to spread these rumors, falsehoods, and in certain cases lies.
(There is no mag-lev train from Disney to Vegas...or as Fox News reported yesterday, a mag-lev train from Disney to the Moonlite Bunny Ranch Brothel in Nevada. There is also no rationing board for healthcare...these were a couple of big government boogie-men Fox tried to tell viewers about)
What we should all be angry about is not what the left or the right is doing...we should be angry that NO news organization is reporting the facts and only the facts. Our country is now so partisan than we have no reliable, truly unbiased, un-slanted news available.
I'll be watching the BBC right after I get off this soap box…
I value my First Amendment rights…almost as much as my Second Amendment rights. I did my best to respect a very unpopular president in a time of "war" where thousands were senselessly dying. However, when the government begins laying the groundwork for a dictatorship by issuing memorandums giving shoty legal opinions that the President of the United States has powers such as suspending free speech, freedom of the press, calling military airstrikes on targets inside our boarders, and using the military to conduct search, seizures, and arrests of citizens, suspects, or combatants all without warrants, hearings, lawyers or due process…well Ladies and Gentlemen THESE ARE THE REASONS FOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT….THESE ARE THE REASONS the framers of this great nation wanted to ensure that beyond all other checks and balances they placed upon our government, the ultimate check was the citizenry's right to rise up against a government drunk with power.
